As the youngest of four girls, she remembers the first time she upcycled. “It was a dollhouse from boxes that my sister’s polaroid cameras came in”. Much of her work is like putting a puzzle together. The end result is a unique, sometimes usable, piece of art. ”If that piece can make someone smile or evoke an emotion I consider myself successful”. Living in this art colony enables her to interact with other artists that encourage and challenge each other in their art. she is also an elected official to the Nashville Town Council where she advocates for the Art Community, Public Safety and Human Rights. Nancy has never met a stranger and works a couple of days a week at the gallery so stop in and chat when you are in town.
